2. What we collect
- Waitlist: your email, the community or ESN section you optionally select, the version and time of your launch-invitation consent, and the privacy-notice version shown to you.
- Security and delivery: minimal request and service logs maintained by our hosting, database and email providers to operate and protect the site.
- Aggregate audience measurement: daily totals only for page, broad referrer bucket (direct, internal, search, social, other), device class, and an optional two-letter country code supplied by the host. We do not store IP addresses, full user agents, cookies, local-storage IDs, fingerprints, unique visitor IDs, precise location or a cross-site profile in this dataset.
Do not put sensitive personal information in the waitlist form. We do not ask for it.
3. Why we use it
- One launch invitation
- To maintain the waitlist and send the single Vienna launch invitation you requested. We record your affirmative request and the privacy-notice version shown to you.
- Security and basic operations
- To prevent abuse, diagnose failures and protect the website and its infrastructure. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure, reliable operations (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Aggregate audience measurement
- To understand whether the site is being reached, through which broad channel and on which device class, without identifying or tracking a person. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving a local early-access website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), subject to the safeguards described here and in our internal assessment.
We do not use this email list for ongoing marketing or product updates.
4. Cookies and similar technology
This site does not set analytics, advertising or social-media tracking cookies. Our aggregate measurement does not read from or write to your device and does not create a persistent identifier. See the Cookie policy for the current position.
5. Recipients and international transfers
We use processors to host the site, store the waitlist and deliver email: Vercel (website hosting and delivery, EU region with a global edge network), Supabase (waitlist database, Frankfurt, EEA) and Google Workspace (email, provided by Google Ireland Limited). Each may process personal data only under our instructions and applicable data-processing terms. The waitlist database and the site’s primary hosting are configured to the EU/EEA. Where personal data is processed outside the EEA — for example email handled through Google Workspace, or requests routed via a US-based provider’s edge network — that transfer is safeguarded by Standard Contractual Clauses and, where the provider is certified, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
6. Retention
Waitlist information is kept until the Vienna early-access decision and then deleted or anonymised within 30 days. We retain a minimal consent record only as long as needed to demonstrate compliance, handle requests or resolve legal claims. Aggregate daily metrics are retained for 12 months and are not linked back to the waitlist.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect processing before withdrawal. You have an unconditional right to object to direct marketing.
